Finest Group Shop in NH

New Hampshire Antique Co-op was founded in 1983 by Sam and Eileen Hackler. It was one of the first Group Shops to appear in New England, and it has grown into a shop known for its diversity of product and commitment to excellence. Sam and Eileen’s life long interest and hobby in antiques compelled them to open this unique shop, which now has its own web site.

The front showroom at New Hampshire Antique Co-op holds Period American, English, and Continental furniture and is separated from the rest of the building by over 200 showcases housing everything from eighteenth century silver to Chinese Export porcelain; jewelry to art pottery; and cut glass to Beatles memorabilia. The shop expands its holdings to country and Victorian furniture, quality custom pieces from the twentieth century, and two reproduction lines: Jason Samuel Antiques Colonial Reproductions; and Warren Chair Works.

The building contains over 13,000 square feet of merchandise which is constantly changing. Over two hundred eighty dealers are exhibiting in the shop from the greater New England region as well as South America, England, and the Western part of the United States. Many dealers here, maintain their own shop and desire additional exposure, while others are collectors selling in order to "feed their habit." Each exhibitor shares a common passion for the old, whether it be, ancient Chinese art, kitchen paraphernalia from the 1950’s, Viennese bronze, or Federal furniture, almost all areas of interest are covered.

The shop has since welcomed the next generation into the business, Jason Hackler. After college, Jason spent several years in the museum field studying American material culture and in the spring of 1995 joined the Co-op. Since it is a family operated business, you will typically find one of the Hacklers present to answer questions and comment about a particular style, area of origin, or condition of an object.

The shop is open 362 days a year from ten until five o’clock. Remember there is no sales tax in New Hampshire and that purchases can be assisted through their mail order program that is accessed through their monthly advertisements in The Maine Antique Digest, and The New England Antiques Journal.

Sam and Jason operate in the front showroom under the name, Jason Samuel Antiques. They exhibit in select shows in New England and New York and are always interested in setting up an appointment to discuss your particular antique needs. They offer an appraisal service and are always interested in purchasing single objects or entire estates.
